Dr. Piya Gandhi, DDS

BOARD CERTIFIED PEDIATRIC DENTIST, AIRWAY & TONGUE TIE RELEASE SPECIALIST


Dr. Piya Gandhi has been practicing dentistry since 2009 and completed her pediatric specialty training at the University of Texas in Houston. Her practice is inspired by her role as a mother to her two daughters, Cyrah and Ayana.


Dr. Gandhi emphasizes the critical role of breathing and airway function in oral health. Beyond her residency, Dr. Gandhi has pursued extensive training in airway development, and the diagnosis and treatment of tethered oral tissues. She routinely screens her patients for airway disorders and oral restrictions that may impact growth, development, and healthy sleep.


When not seeing patients, she collaborates with local professionals and lectures nationally to raise awareness and improve training in airway disorders and tongue ties.

Catherine Kangas, Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist, CertBBM

Catherine graduated in 2006 from Texas A&M College of Dentistry with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Over the last several years, she has been a part of dentistry in multiple different capacities. Today she offers her Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy services both in person and virtually.

Her personal story is ultimately what drew her to pursue myofunctional therapy and she hasn't looked back since. After discovering an undiagnosed tongue tie and other myofunctional disorders affecting her son's sleep quality and overall health, she knew this is what she was meant to do. Her goal is to help people gain access to the care they need, spread awareness on airway health, and be a valuable resource to the community of Houston. She is the proud owner of Integrative Myo where she does her very best to provide quality customized care for each of her patients.

Leah Whitley, IBCLC is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and founder of SOS Lactation, with over a decade of experience supporting families through their breastfeeding journey. She has worked across hospitals, clinics, and private practice, where she specializes in helping mothers navigate complex feeding challenges, including tongue ties and oral function concerns.


Leah is known for her compassionate, hands-on approach and her ability to help parents feel confident and supported. She works closely with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure both mother and baby receive comprehensive, personalized care.
